SHAPE Up NY Learning Collaborative
The New York State Office of Mental Health Division of Integrated Community Services for Children and Families (NYS OMH DCF) in partnership with the University of Rochester Medical Center, has offered SHAPE Up NY- a six-month learning collaborative designed to strengthen school mental health systems across the state.
The Learning Collaborative covers the seven domains of a comprehensive school mental health system. It provides an opportunity for school districts to engage in strategic planning to improve the quality of their school mental health system.
Through this initiative, participating school districts are connected with their local System of Care partners to improve:
- Communication– Enhancing how schools, families, and community partners share information and build understanding.
- Collaboration- Strengthening relationships between school districts and community agencies to support student well-being.
- Coordination of Services– Streamlining supports across systems to ensure students and families receive timely, effective care.
